Proven Bred Female - due September 2008; Produces ribbon
winning cria!
When we first saw Elana, we mistook her for a snowball! She has very
dense fiber with good crimp style and very long staple length. Elana takes
after her sire, Peruvian Accoyo Leon who is well known for his dense fiber
and heavy shear weights. Even after giving birth twice, Elana’s fleece won
ribbons placing 2nd in the 2005 New England Coastal Classic and 3rd in
the 2005 AOBA Nationals.

Elana is a very attentive mom who has blessed us with four beautiful crias
(2 females and 2 males). All four of her births were unassisted. She has
ample milk and her crias have been up and nursing quickly with strong
IgGs.

Elana's first cria,
Marlana (light fawn) has ribboned in every class entered
including 1st place fleece ribbons at the SEPA and NECC 2006 shows.
This girl has presence, personality and great fiber!

Elana's second cria, Sophie, has also won many awards including 3rd
place fleece at SEPA and 4th place fleece at AOBA Nationals. Sophie's
first year micron was 17.9 with a curve over 50! Sophie sold at just 2
months of age.

Elana's third cria,
Manhattan, placed 4th in a large class of light brown
males at the 2007 North American Alpaca Show in March and 3rd at the
Big E in September 2007.

Elana's fourth cria,
Sabre, continues the family tradition of beauty.  Even
darker than her last cria, Sabre is truly stunning.  We have bred Elana
back to our champion herdsire,
Crescent Moon's Semper Fidelis for a
August 2008 cria. We've seen what this pair can do and it's very nice!
Both parents have low CV's, great architecture to the fleece and strong
Accoyo genetics. Boy or girl, it should be a head turner for sure!

UPDATE:  Sabre did great at the 2008 spring shows placing 2nd at
MAPACA and 3rd at the North American Alpaca Show.
